Where You'll Stay

Four tiers. One standard of care.

We work with hand-picked lodges and camps at every price point. Same guide. Same vehicle. Same safety standards. Different beds.

Accommodation is where a safari budget really lives. The same 7-day trip can be simple and comfortable or deeply indulgent — same parks, same guide, same wildlife. The bed is the variable.

We don't represent a single brand. We've slept in every camp we book, every year, and we re-inspect annually. If a property slips, we drop it. Here is how we tier them.

Stay FAQ

Common questions.

Do I have to choose one tier for the whole trip?+

No. Most of our itineraries mix tiers — premium in the Serengeti where the lodge matters most, comfort in transit nights. We'll suggest the right blend in your draft itinerary.

Is the food good in safari camps?+

Surprisingly excellent. Even mid-range camps employ trained chefs and the food is usually three-course European with East African touches. Dietary requirements (vegetarian, vegan, halal, gluten-free, allergies) are handled as standard if we know in advance.

Is there WiFi in camp?+

Mostly yes, but limited. Permanent lodges have WiFi in public areas. Mobile camps often have a single hotspot at the bar. Bring patience or a Tanzanian eSIM for data — Airtel and Vodacom have surprisingly good 4G coverage near the parks.

What's the largest group a camp will take?+

Most camps cap at 8–24 guests total. Private exclusive-use buyouts are possible at smaller properties for families and groups of 8+.

Are children welcome?+

Yes, with caveats. Most permanent lodges accept all ages. Many tented camps require children to be 7+ for safety. We'll flag age policies for every camp we propose.
